This was prompted by Walters note about Ram Maxin' I'm starting a new
thread though because while related, my question is a bit different.

I've been wondering why there aren't any instructions how to open a FP
iMac. MacAddict, MacWorld etc articles only show as far as the first
panel on the bottom, the User and Airport slots. Normally the first
thing magazines do is open everything up and photograph the insides.
Ramjet.com, one of the places I get memory, has good instructions how
to install memory for many macs, but for the FP iMac they have a note
saying that Apple made them take the instructions for how to get into
the internal memory slot off of their site,
(http://www.ramjet.com/iMacFlatRAMInstall.html). I've even done some
searches on the web for this sort of thing and found nothing. It isn't
that I WANT to open my iMac up, it's just that I want to know what's
inside it. What does the MB look like? Just how did they get everything
in that little white hemisphere? I'm guessing that the heavy metal
plate on the bottom is a heat sink so removing it might cause problems
if the thermal compound isn't put back just right. Fair enough, that's
why I won't do it to mine. I just want to see what I got for my $1,800.

Does anyone know of a site showing the guts of a FP iMac
