I'm working on fixing two minor annoyances on my HARMONized Rev. B iMac. 1.) Neither Extensions Manager nor Conflict Catcher seem to activate the Apple Menu Options Control Panel. I've tried trashing preferences, manually moving the cp from the disabled folder, etc. I suspect that the cp itself may be corrupted. My next plan is to copy the cp from another system folder into the one on the Rev. B. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Of course, a complete reinstall of the OS is the LAST resort.
2.) At the very bottom of my desktop I have a row folders. Sometimes when I click on another application window the icons for those folders disappear, leaving only the names visible. Clicking on the desktop restores the icons. This seems to happen only after startup and launch of the first application. Clicking on later applications doesn't seem to cause it. I've rebuilt the desktop but it still happens. Anyone have possible fixes? Sincerely, Dennis -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
