Does anyone know how to turn the voice for error alerts OFF ? Zippy
OS 9 or X?
In OS 9 you go to the Speech control panel, choose "Talking Alerts" from the dropdown menu by "Options:", and uncheck the appropriate checkbox.
Someone else will be happy to tell you all about OS X, I'm sure.
System Preferences > Speech > Spoken User Interface tab Un-check "Speak the Alert"
