Er, it looks like an OK error to me (at least, if you accept the legitimacy of error numbers in lieu of actual error messages ;)). smtp.comcast.net *IS* an invalid mail server if you try to access it to send outgoing mail from outside comcast's domain (like from cox.net, as your friend tried to do).
