My only caution would be that if you go this route, get a GOOD one. C Crane is a pretty good name I think? But avoid the low end ones--Radio Shack et al. I tried two different models to pump a portable CD player into my car stereo, and was happy with neither. I think it was a combination of the cheap transmitter, and the pitifully low power--problems either with locking onto a frequency and staying there, or intermod or something. It's been a few years now. They both worked okay, but I could never get them to produce a continually listenable signal. My RF modulated CD player works beautifully, where it's a direct connection to the antenna. YMMV.

FWIW, I didn't see Dale's original message, having been afflicted at the time with the "periodic bounce virus." However, I can't understand why people are ragging on him for asking about something he wasn't familiar with.

You can also go to a completely separate FM transmitter, that will work with any device with a head phone jack and can even let nearby cars share your tunes if they tune to your frequency. Check out http://www.ccrane.com/fm_transmitter_in_radio_accessories.asp. Twice the cost of an iTrip but works great. I've used it to play my iTunes library over the home stereo as well as in the car.
