Actually, several people on the list are in agreement with me and are indeed
having a good chuckle over it, off-list. I could quote them for you, but
that really would be mean. I was the only one bold enough to speak what was
on several people's minds. Sarcasm is the only way for me to get through
the harsh realities of the real world, and believe me, honey I have had one
hell of a rough life. It's who I am, and if you don't like it, too bad. I
live in a trailer park (that's right, I'm trailer trash) and I can't afford
a car. I receive food stamps thanks to my disability. I've never owned a
new Macintosh, and I only splurged last year and bought this Blueberry iMac
second-hand on eBay with my tax refund. I've owned numerous second-hand
Macs for ten years now (at least six of them are out in the shed), and while
I'm certainly no expert, I know how all the basics of how it works, and how
to operate it and I have sense enough to try every trick I know of first
before coming to the list for help as a last resort.
While for the most part, the people on this list have been very kind and
helpful, others tend to be rather needy, requiring a lot of hand-holding
while trying to solve their problem. But, on the other hand, this list is
full of a lot of snobs that think everything should always be professional,
business-like and no-nonsense. Newsflash: Real life isn't like that at
all. I have no patience for a bunch of pretentious twits who think the
whole world should always be politically correct, which it is not and never
will be, and have no sense of humor at all. It's so phony! God forbid
anyone should express an opinion that disagrees with anyone else's way of
thinking! All I'm guilty of is being honest and saying "out loud" that I
thought Dale's question really was a dumb one. I was not the only one who
thought so, it's just that others are better at writing it more tactfully,
where as I just come right out and say it. I don't give a damn who likes it
and who doesn't, but at least I'm honest about it. And since freedom of
thought and freedom of speech isn't allowed in this forum, I'm leaving you
snobs in your happy little perfect world. I'll seek future assistance
elsewhere.
Hugs and Kisses, Gerry
