Has anyone been able to upgrade 333 mhz iMac to 512 MB? I believe that I
read that somewhere. I want to add 512 to my computer. I would need to get
two 256 MB cards or one 512 MB. It seems that 256 MB would be easier to
find.
It wont recognize a single 512MB stick. Two 256MB are the maximum for your 333. There shouldn't be any trouble finding the 256MB SO-DIMM sticks. Any of the reputable memory vendors should offer them. Apple's published RAM maximum for the Five Flavor iMacs was 128MB, but that was a function of what was available at the time. The actual is 512MB. It's a bit more work to change both sticks, but it is certainly possible.
