Amber,

I have an EZQuest firewire hard drive and I really like it. I have had it for about 6 months and have had no problems with it. It runs at 7200 rpms and has the 912 Oxford chip. You can also boot the iMac from this hard drive. I have OS X on it and OS 9 on the iMac's internal drive. Could not be happier. It cost me $180 US for 60 gigs. Now they sell 120 gigs for $209. This is a great drive, quite and fast.

I am planning to initialize the hard drive later this morning but am just
wondering if anybody could recommend a good external hard drive.

I have firewire but these are obviously going to cost more. I would prefer
just to drag all my stuff over to the new hard drive before initializing to
save a lot of time.

Any suggestions ?

Amber
