Nope that's Bill$ OS's that need activation codes. Steve's just install. <G>
Then was finally able to 'Archive and Install'. However on restarting I get a dialogue box asking for name and password. Input successfully, but clicking on login, the box shakes violently and spits the password. Have reinstalled password via disk utility but still no success. Reset CUDA, etc, etc.
Should I be putting in a purchase code or install disc code or something?
The first Rev. A iMac's only shipped with 32 MB of RAM. If you still have the original stick in the bottom slot OS X may be reacting to the lack of RAM. While I was able to mount 10.1.5 on an iMac with 64 MB it was not a happy camper. Very slow, froze often. Jaguar has a "minimum RAM requirement of 128, and that's really marginal.
Anybody got any suggestions? Would be grateful!!
