Hmm, might not be easy to track down the reason for that.


What can I do?

Well, you could create a new password. Start up from your OS X install CD and when you get to the installer window, choose "reset password" from the Installer menu at the top of the screen. Make sure your HD icon is selected. Where it says "Select a user of this volume... choose your user name from the available choices, then type in a new password (twice) and hit save. Then quit the Installer, restart from your HD and see if your new password gets you logged in.
