Dear Listers,
I have a Blueberry iMac running 10.2.6. I noticed today that the dimensions
of my display change when I open and close windows. Allow me to describe:
When there are no windows open and I start an application or open a folder
etc. the physical size of the illuminated area on the monitor increases
by a few pixels at each edge.
It is often the case that if you have the brightness turned up White areas make the screen wider and black areas make it narrower.
Furthermore, there are a few 'ripples' of a darker colour running along the top left-hand edge.
Hmmm that sounds like the video signal is suffering some sort of degradation.
Opening more windows
seems to have little effect. In this case, the background is mid coloured
(a picture of poppies in a cornfield) and the windows are mostly white.
Should I be worried and start saving for a FP iMac (or a new monitor) or
is this no big deal?
I wouldn't worry about it unless it gets a lot worse quickly. Eitehr way I'd save for an FP iMac anyway as they kick be-hind :).
