You may have a sound set selected. Go to the appearance control panel, select the sound tab and make sure "none" is selected in the popup menu. In my system, platinum is the only other choice. --
Nope, that's not it. No sound set selected in the Appearance Control Panel. So, anybody else have a guess why I hear the default system beep every time I launch an application?
