I'm wondering what can prevent my FP iMac from sleeping? Does iCal keep it awake looking for alarms? How about iDVD? Final Cut Express? In the past when it wouldn't sleep or woke up unexpectedly, these apps seem to be running. Any ideas?

On the other hand, I would like to have my external LaCie hard drive stay awake longer before spinning down. When asked if it could be changed, their tech support said, "No. It's fixed." but I know there must be a bright hacker out there that has changed it.

Thanks!

Regards,
  JJ
