OK, I see my original query wasn't specific enough. I looked into the iPhoto storage files, and there are all kinds of folders, some containing images and some "data", and I don't understand it. Why isn't there just one folder containing the jpgs? What do I move and what stays here?
Open iphoto
go to file
select "export"
Or simply burn to CDs like someone else suggested.
DO NOT go mucking about in the iphoto library, chances are very good that doing that will cause you to really screw up the pictures.
