I posted this on the Apple discussion list aswell:If the drive itself is supported by Mac OS and the apps you plan to use it will work with USB!
For my birthday I got a AOpen EHW-5224U CD-R/W that uses USB 2.0. The manual says it goes with OS 9x, so it took a while before I understood that my iMac DV does not work with USB 2.0.
Is there any way that I can use this CD-R/W, or should I better try to return it to the store?
But at the slower speed of USB 1.1. USB 2.0 is backwards compatible.
