Hello. My iMac DV 400, OS 9.2.2 on the internal HD, 10 GB HD half full + 1
GB RAM, is sluggish. Web pages load slowly. It takes a moment when saving
a document for the little window to surface that allows me to name my new
document. There are other such little delays here and there.

At the same time that this started, I also noticed that upon start-up, the
screen is at a lower resolution until after the first extension shows up in
the lower left corner of the screen. Then the screen changes to a higher
resolution. Sometimes it crashes at this point, and I have to restart.
Usually, though, that very next restart will work. This is the same
resolution that I get upon re-start-up when the computer has just crashed
for some other reason.

Also, upon restart, there's almost always something "rescued" in the trash.
It's something different each time.

I also get a prompt from time to time telling me I don't have enough memory
to perform some function. Usually when this happens, I have almost nothing
else open, and I know that I'm not using all the memory.

All of these began at the same time. I've run Disk Warrior. The thing that
now is that I have a printer deadline, and PageMaker is giving me an error
#7227 when I try to PS Group. All the other stuff is frustrating, but this
is a problem.

This same thing happened months ago. I don't know why it "snapped out of
it," regained speed, and let me PS Group. It seems like a RAM problem, but
I don't know what needs to be cleaned out, emptied, etc.

Since I'm on digest mode and need to resolve this today, please send your
suggestions to me, [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Thanks,
Claire
