Thank you, everyone who replied! I think I am going to order my eMac with minimal RAM and add more on my own. Which brings me to another, possibly dumb, question: if I get a Superdrive eMac with one 256 MB DIMM, and then buy a 512 MB DIMM to add, does it matter which slot each one goes into? I seem to recall some older Macs where you'd get a speed advantage by putting the biggest or fastest RAM chip into slot #1. Thanks again,
