Nothing. be sure to check the Toast web site for all the updates to 
Toast 5. If it's a full  retail version? The updates are free.

in a special folder out of the way of Toast?
Not necessary.

Have an iMic at hand, and wish to record some 78 rpms records on to a
compact disk...
It will work just fine. You'll still need some type of audio software 
to create the files for Toast to copy. Peak L.E. works great with the 
iMac but there are also freeware solutions that have been reported to 
work well.

Want to ensure I don't botch the install.
A reasonable caution, however, Toast and Mac play very well together. 
No conflicts with any of Apple's applications and Toast.
