I've been with Apple long enough to know better than to immediately install updates
Funny. My policy has always been to install updates ASAP, and I've never run into the slightest bit of difficulty. Even the 10.2.8 update hasn't (at least thus far) given me any serious problems... though the system DID lock up on my fianc�e recently... never saw it do that before...

I mean, you try to close a program, and it locks up, and you do that cloverleaf-period thing the totally unnatural and ultimately useless interrupt key... then NOTHING moves. You press power button and it won't turn off! You go around and unplug it... and you better hope you're not on a laptop, because then you gotta find a damn battery and pull THAT out of the thing or the thing will NEVER shut down!"
I GOTTA like that guy... the funniest Mac-bashing speech I ever heard... ;)
