thanks for the correction, you are right I believe. I was probably confused because I was thinking of Panther, which allegedly will read NTFS (I haven't tested that myself).

That's interesting. I know it can be easily done in Linux/BSD as I've done it on my PC with Mandrake 9.1. I hope it is the case as I'm trying to phase out using FAT32 totally on both my systems as it's an antiquated and uneconomic FS. NTFS is slower and a bit more bulky but it's journalling so it's much nicer if your machine crashes on anything like a regular basis (which is the case on PCs!). I await that one with baited breath....
