Have you tried emptying the "File Sharing Files" folder (think it's called that way in English). You'll find it in the Preferences folder in the System Folder. Aswell as trashing all File Sharing prefs? As a last resort you could try trashing the invisible AppleShare PDS file, it's at the root of your HD. This file gets corrupted from time to time. It looks like that this is the cause of your troubles, because if it was working before and suddenly stopped, it could have gotten corrupted. You can trash it by searching for invisible files with Sherlock, search for 'AppleShare PDS' and then Command-Backspace from the Sherlock window, then press Return to confirm to trash this invisible file.
