I very recently began having startup problems, with the following error message
appearing: "...unable to start Finder due to problems initializing
ObjectSupportLib...". Options are to restart from the CD (DVD) or to quit. It refers
me to the startup CD, but there isn't anything specific on the CD, other than a Finder
(v9.0) reinstall. When it startsup in MultiUser mode, I get the list of users, and
those with limited Finder access seem to run fine, but I with full Finder get the
error message. Can anyone suggest where to go from here? Finder reinstall, or
something less intrusive? If Finder reinstall, can I install the 9.0 Finder, then
update to 9.2.2, or is the Finder the Finder (one version) in 9.0 and 9.2.2?

Am running a 400MHz DV SE, OS 9.2.2, 384MB RAM.

Lookup throughout the harddrive to verify that there was not a copy of
ObjectSupportLib lurking in there that may have been installed from some application
recently. I recall that ObjectSupportLib was incorporated into the OS somewhere
around 8.1 or 9.0.

Thanks in advance,
Jerry
