People may laugh, but I find Panther to be FAST on my 350 MHz Blueberry
iMac. It helps that I have 512 MB of memory - I think that is important. I
also have an upgraded, faster hard drive. (cost $40 - not too expensive).
When I switch users on this machine, they switch in about .5 seconds (using
mostly Safari and Office programs).

Not too bad. Give it a try on yours.
