It will work. It will work even better with more RAM. Consider increasing your memory. The only thing I've noticed on a G3 iMac is you do not get the nifty rotating cube with fast user switching, It still switches just fine, but the 3D cube effect uses the Altivec engine of the G4. Classic runs just fine and Expos� works great.
