Right, in an attempt to resurect this dead/injured iMac
I've just bought I have:

- Fitted my iMac 400DV hard disk
- Fitted known good RAM
(I bought it without HD & RAM)
- Reset the PRAM
- Done an Open Firmware reset
- Reset the CUDA
- Changed the IDE cable
- Tried with only the HD connected
- Tried with only the CDRW connected
- Pressed Option for a boot disk screen but nothing appears.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be wrong?

What normally goes wrong with this iMac? Is there a known
weakness where something fails ?

The seller is a bit of a second hand PC dealer and was not
the owner as such, must have bought it at the same time as
a bunch of PCs or something...
