I have come to the conclusion that my iMac 500 FlowerPower must have a dead IDE interface as I cannot access either the harddisk (know good) and a bootable CD, nor can I get it to start up in FireWire mode (I presume it can as my 400DV can).
What's the next step ?
New motherboard ??
