Hi Listers: Could never get the new ATA 40 GW drive to be bootable on the 333Mhz Cherry. Received replacement Seagate drive that came with jumper info. One question to hopefully save some time. I have 2 choices for the Jumper settings depending how Apple sets the CD "Slave". If the CD is set as slave then I simply set the Seagate as Master. Or if the CD is set on "Cable Select", then that's how I set the Seagate. Is there a consistant way that Apple uses? ...or will looking at the CD cable tell me the story? OK, now I have the logic board/drive assembly out and can't see a jumper setting block on the CD.
Thanks again for all the help you've given. dan_A -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
