Hi Allen, There was a review in a Dutch PC mag recently of the LaCie MobileDrive - Design by F.A. Porsche: In short: - Either FW or USB 2.0 versions, USB drive has only one mini-USB connector at the back, FW drive has two connectors at the back for daisy chaining; - FW drive comes with regular FW cable and mini-FW-cable (such as laptops use); FW800 users have to buy a separate 9-pin to 6-pin cable. - 4 grooves on top which you can use to stack several drives; - FW and USB drives powered through the FW and USB cables. Might there be to less power than you can use a separate cable (included) to tap some juice from another USB port. - Average access times from the tested 40GB FW and USB 2.0 versions: respectively 20.3ms and 20.7ms. Copying data from and to those drives with an average 22.6MB/s. - No screws used to enclosure the HD so you cannot open it if you want to. Looks like a nice mobile drive :-) -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
