FWIW I have a Fujitsu 10GB that has been to hell and back (lost the upper 2.5GB to the evil hard disk munching bug in the Rev. 1 B&W G3 so it's now a 7.5GB) for 4 years and still works silver side up. I'm considering replacing it however as it's so old it should have grandkids by now ;-). Mind you I have a 20MB Seagate 5.25" in my collection of odd old hardware that is 15 years old and still works fine!
Hi Mark-
To add to the Seaggate statistics, I've had a 4GB Seagate enclosed in a Micronet housing that's removable from a Micronet Dock, running on my machine (not iMac) 24/7 since '97. It's silent and up until recently, was my start up drive, running 10.2.6. Now it is my backup Jaguar drive and eventually Panther-if it fits.
