Seagate drives have always had a pretty solid rep. with server manufacturers and PC 
manufacturers alike and are used by many major vendors, Apple included.

As for Panther it will fit in 4GB of space but I would strongly recommend against it 
unless you cut the OS right down (which only ammounts to 1.8GB in that case).
