I just changed ISPs. I added the new ISP's dial-up numbers to Internet Connect. However, I can't delete the old ISP number labeled "Main Number" nor can I change the setting to the new ISP number. Whenever I want to connect now I have to launch Internet Connect and then select a number to use. How do you delete/change the "Main Number" settings?

I'd like to hear the answer to this, having a similar problem. Since I started using OS X, I've added and over time deleted several email accounts. If you go to the preference pane they are gone. If I restart my computer, then attempt to send an email (using Mail), one of the deleted accounts has been selected for outgoing. I get a choice of accounts to use in a scroll box, all the ones I deleted plus my "real" account. It's easy enough to select but I wish that I could find the file that contains this old info and can it. In sys 9 and back, you would just go to the sys folder into the prefs folder and find and dump the offending preference file. I'm sure it's the same type of problem that Dennis is having.

Anyone know how to do this in X?
