Do you already have something plugged into your Ethernet port?  If not, I'd
get an Ethernet wireless adapter instead of a USB adapter.

Reason: when you put too much stuff on the USB ports, things start getting
funky.  Similarly, the more drivers you have to install, the greater the
chances for conflict.  Plus, USB is slow.  The Ethernet port is fast and
it's made for networking, you might as well use it for that. Ethernet to
wireless adapters require NO drivers, they're all Mac compatible.

Most networking companies make one, and many make a faster version that can
take advantage of Airport Extreme networks (or the equivalent). I think the
prices are about the same as the USB versions.
