Well, I bought and installed Aladdin's Internet Cleanup 1.0 because I
thought some sneaky people may have zapped my iMac with a
spyware tag of some sort. After running the software it got a clean
bill of health, so to speak - no spies.

Told ya. :)

I guess I am a tad paranoid about these things, but still I feel better
just knowing everything, as far as security, is ship shape.

That's the Mac for you. And just to make sure there is no misunderstanding, I am not condemning your or making fun of you. Yes you're a bit over-paranoid, but how can you be sure until you test it for yourself? The peace of mind is certainly worth whatever you spent on IC in your case.

Hopefully they will offer an upgrade so you can test Jag and Panther in the near future.

Thanks again to all who helped me on this question. Zippy

Thanks for the follow-up, I'm sure it put other people's minds at ease as well.
