Now to figure out if I can actually play what Santa dropped off.....
SimCity 4 says I need "Hardware 3D acceleration required: ATI Radeon or NVidia GeForce card (32 MB VRAM or better.)"
Just scraping in over the line, the iMac 17" 800MHz has a GeForce 4 MX chip with 32MB or VRAM.
I have an iMac 17" flatscreen, 384 MB. 800 MHz, PowerPC G4. I don't see anything in the Apple Profiler re graphics acceleration.
Will SImCity work?
Yes! I have played it (at Paris Expo 2003) on the very same iMac model :-).
Is it possible to add graphics acceleration?
No need. :)
