Hello LIsters,

I have an unusual problem.

Here's the situation: I moderate a BB online for an acquaintance. I have
been given access to the admin pages of it so that I can delete unwanted or
off-topic posts, but some spammers and porn posters hack in, posting mesages
containing links to porno sites. While most of these sorts of posts I can delete,
certain of them don't show up on the admin pages at all so there's no place to
access them to delete them.

The owner says he is able to edit these pages, changing the way that they
read into something that is not offensive, though he still can't delete the posts
either. He IS, however, able to block them by their ISP# after we know what
it is but, once they're posted all the site owner is able to do is edit them.

I, however am unable to do any of this editing with my iMac, using OS 8.6 and
IE 5.1.

Can anyone offer me a workaround of some sort so that I can assist in getting
rid of this objectionable stuff? I was advised that I should be able to use
IE or Netscape to do this, but kon't know which version(s) is needed.
