Which version of Jaguar for iMac 500 mhz DV

I have an iMac 500 mhz DV Graphite. I have been running 10.1.5 for a 
couple months but just dabbling in OS X. I got a good deal on Jaguar 
and now have 10.2 installed. The software Update feature is offering 
to take me to 10.2.8.   any reason not to, and if 10.2.8 is not the 
best version for this iMac what is?
