i've got a 120 gig external firewire hard drive, partitioned into 8 equal partitions. just use the drive setup that is in your applications folder, in the utilities folder.

I just purchased an 80 gig external firewire hard drive. I am currently running 9.2.2 on my iMac 400 dv 128 ram. On a search I read that you can't partition an external drive in OS 9. Is this fact? I was hoping to later get OS 10 but not right away. Are there any free utilities that will partition an external drive? I didn't open the box yet to see what the software is. It's an ACOM data and it says it comes with drive setup software for the Mac.
