However that has nothing to do with editing the files. Netscape -- from versions 4 thru 7 have an edit function. You simply go to FILE, then click EDIT PAGE, and the Composer function comes up, allowing you to do any editing you please. Then you save and click the PUBLISH button, direct the page to the proper directory on the server, supply the correct password, and that's all there is to it. I suspect that Microsoft Explorer has the same capability, but since I don't use it, I don't know. It's simple and straightforward. I'm surprised that the Mac version of Netscape doesn't have the EDIT PAGE function. " == And Paul further adds: I have Netscape Navigator 4.0 for Mac on my iMac Rev. A. I'm using OS 8.6 and AOL 4.0 on it. To be sure, I just opened and rechecked Netscape Navigator 4.0 and there is no 'EDIT PAGE' option under the 'FILE' menu there even though it is one of the versions mentioned in the above paragraph... At least not on my iMac. Is this enough information for Mike B. or any of our listers to allow them to figure out why I am unable to find/use this Netscape function. Is it the Mac OS that I'm running? I have an install disc for OS 9.2.1. I have been told that I can only upgrade AOL to vers. 5.0 with OS 8.6 or 9.2. (FYI- I am not ready to upgrade as far as to OS X so if this would be mandatory I guess I'm out of luck for now...) Hope this suffices. Regards & TIA, Paul M.
