last year I bought two reburfed eMac and one new one and two of the three had to be returned within 48 hours. The third one, the second refurb worked great. It's 700 mhz, has a great screen, fast enuff for my sons online starcraft bouts but the 40 gigs gets filled up fast with itunes so I now have an additional forty external HD.
Had a strange thing happen last month when my harddrive data got corrupted but is was software related not hardware. Plan to get applecare on it next month for it's one year birthday. If you have music lovers be sure to get biggest HD you can. I like the eMac screen better than 15 or 17 inch iMac but the 20 inch iMac is the only one I would trade up for. Be sure to get the stand it makes a world of difference. My opinion is the eMac is best Mac deal in town.
