This may seem to be an odd question... why are there currently offered both Powerbooks and iBooks?
Marketing reasons? Over the yearss Macintosh branded laptops have taken many different forms; so was wondering if there was any logic (oh I know these days that may an unlikely thing) to the idea of having two names for laptops... In my owncase it was an iBook, less money, maybe I bought the Plymouth (which was always marketed as a lower priced vheicle) than the Dodge (which was always marketed in past days as a higher class/cost of vehicle)?
