I was installing Panther onto my 1999 iMac this morning, and was filling in the Apple ID dialogue windows at the end of the process, when the mains lead fell out (having worked itself loose). Now when I turn the machine on instead of booting I get a white window with text in the top left corner reading:
"bootr, unknown word Failed to boot Apple Imac open firmware 3.0" Followed by a build date and a prompt. What's happened, and what should I do ?
