I've never heard of any power problems caused by putting in a larger hard drive (at least, not for a single drive). The power consumption of the hard drive is a small fraction of the total power used by an iMac, and even an iMac should have enough spare power capacity. I replaced the OEM drive in my iMac DV/400 with an 80 GB 7200 rpm drive and never gave it a second thought. BTW, I really like the Maxtor 6Y120P0 drives. I just put a second one in my G4 quicksilver tower--under US$100 at mwave.com!
