You can't do that. The internal drive is an IDE drive, not firewire.

Of course you can do that. *ALL* external Firewire hard drives are IDE drives in a case that has a FW "bridge" board built into it (often referred to as an "Oxford 911 chipset"). There's no such thing as a true internal FW hard drive, at least as far as I've seen.


PS. I did *exactly* this with my old iMac hard drive (ie, put it in a FW case) and am still using it today!
