Since (recently) moving from Mac OS 9/Office 2001 to OS X.3.3 with Office v.X I am now experiencing a problem with the footer in my Word documents. They are being chopped and only the upper half of the footer is printed.
Incidentally, when opening a previously written (in 2001) Word document, opening the margins settings but doing NOTHING and then pressing OK gives a warning that margins or columns (or something) are not correct. I can only cancel, not press OK. ?!
When you moved up to Office X did you also change printers? You may need to go to the Page Setup dialog box and choose the appropriate printer and page size. That may be cutting off the footer. That's also why you get the warning about the margins being beyond what the printer can handle.
