As I wrote last week I have a dead ethernet port on my 350MHZ iMac. My brother suggested the following:

You're probably screwed if it's fried, 'cause it's going to be built
into the main system board. You might be able to get a USB to
Ethernet adapter to work. Picked up one of those a couple months ago.
Real handy. Jaton supposedly makes one with mac support.

So have any of you used a USB-to-Ethernet adapter? How did it work? Slow on USB-1? My brother is a reliable source, but Macs are not his thing. I have time remaining on the store warrantee, but that is such a pain, getting it there and getting it back, plus I pay 30% repair costs, it would be easier just to slip in a USB adapter. So what do you all think? Thanks as always! I just wish I had some words of wisdom more often to help out others.
