What I want to do is simply disconnect the PAV board and use an external monitor via the VGA out port.
I was going to do the very same hack, but have been informed that the iMac DV, i.e. slot loading require the internal monitor to run, unlike the revision A-D where you can rip the MB out and run it without. Therefore I never carried out the hack.
