Thanks for the warning. I think I'll stick with OpenOffice 1.0.3 even if I do need to have X11 running first. Are there any other office suites for the Mac that are compatible wth MS Office XP files? Pete

There was an interesting little blurb in Business Week's April 19 edition, page 26, regarding the vulnerability of messages sent using the MS Word format . Apparently the problem stems from the "track changes" feature. Someone who is knowledgeable can make use of this feature to find out everything that was done to the document from the get-go, including to whom it was sent along the way. The only way to avoid leaving a trail that can be traced to delete every change made, leaving only the final document. Also, this vulnerability evidently applies to Macs as well as PC's from the way the article is written. Just passing this along FYI in case anyone is interested.
