Some of the audio CDs that I've burnt using iTunes, v. 4.2, have slight distortion on the last track of each CD. The CDs are 80min/700MB Verbatim CD-Rs with 780MB to 796MB of music on each. The "bad" tracks sound fine when played directly from my iMac's HD.

Is distortion an unfortunate result of trying to burn an audio CD to it's max or are the CDs defective?

Why does the CD label indicate 80min/700MB capacity when more than 700MB can be written to the CD?
