Go ahead and try to install...the Macs are far more robust than the PC's, you can do almost anything to them just for the heck of it. I know I drag my mac to the dark place and back every few weeks!
What will most likely happen is the software will give you an error message stating the software is only for e-macs, and then won't let you install. You might have return your disks....
