I just won a multi-function Canon Multipass MP390 Printer/Copier/Fax/Scanner.
Congratulations!
Unfortunately the box only lists Windows compatibility but nothing at all about Mac, and the website says nothing about the MP390's compatibility one way or the other. Other similar models are Windows-only, though.
Should I even open the box?
Canon's been pretty good about Mac compatibility for their scanners, but I'm afraid they haven't written any drivers for their MP3xx line, so you're out of luck. My advice would be to sell it to some deserving Windows user and use the money to buy an Apple-approved Multi-Function item like the Epson I saw at my local the other day for $199.
